Whistleblowers are encouraged by Volkswagen

The Economist concerning corporate whistleblowing, December 1, 2015: “Volkswagen is … belatedly encouraging whistleblowers: yesterday was the deadline for workers to provide information that helps the carmaker get to the bottom of its emissions scandal, without risking dismissal or claims of damages. Studies suggest that legal protection for whistleblowers has been extended in rich economies (the few exceptions include Germany, VW’s home country).”
